The pic of Guam is cool .
Thanks!! Got loads more....not just of Guam, but loads more pics. I started flying right around the beginning of the digital picture technology explosion. The first camera I used was just 1.2 megapixel. Before I finished flight training we were already able to buy 5 megapixel cameras. Most of the pics I have were taken with greater resolution than that even. So here is this week's contribution:

This was taken over Northern Afghanistan in the mid 2000s. The aircraft is an F-15E and the mountains below, IIRC are the Hindu Kush. This was not far from the "Tora Bora" complex of caves AFAIK. It isn't too difficult to see how rugged the terrain is. It goes on as far as you can see like that too. I don't recall the altitude but we were pretty high up. Over 20,000 feet at least.....sean

A first glance I thought that was a tomcat but then I looked harder and you also pointed out it was an F15. Cool backgound.

On another note dealing with this weekend, here are some picture of my son and I at a memorial day display. There is a cross and flag for each soldier from Ft. Bragg/Pope Air Force base that has died since 2001. It started with a woman whose son was killed in action, then she started putting a cross in her yard for every soldier that was killed. Eventually the amount got to be so many that she couldn't fit them all in her yard any more. The local Harley Davidson dealership was nice enough to let her and volunteers move the display to their lawn. Also pictured is the cross for my friend who was KIA November 24th 2014 in Kabul, Afghanistan.

In the first pic, are you the first or second one coming out of the plane?

How about throwback photos (since I'm a civilian)? Here's a couple of my dad's ride in 1944. And my grandpa's ride.

My only thoughts were that the pics are your own, rather than linked from a website other than a hosting site.

My pops was a CSM in the Army and my Grand dad was a CPL when he mustered out at the end of WWII. Pops didn't have a "ride" other than a "rat rig" as he was in Signal Corps. My grand dad...well....he was a rifleman. He didn't have a ride.....back then an infantryman marched. Besides, he spent about 90% of WWII as a POW.

This weekend's contribution:

Raptors. Returning home after the initial F-22 deployment. What a machine.....sean

NorCal, fair enough. The 2 TD photos are dad's, with him in the drivers hatch. USS Nicholson photo was from the web.
