This weekend's contribution:
RAF Tornado. Can't remember if it is a GR-4 or not. I took this one a long time ago, back in the mid 2000s and I no longer remember. Only that there were two versions of it flying at the time and one was a GR-4. The other, the Tornado ADV was only seen occasionally but I did see one or two during my time there. Hence why I don't remember which this is. Likely that it is a GR-4 as they were the most numerous.

Here's one that's more of an aerial photography image than anything else. We flew over Dubai more times that I care to count so I got to see this place grow from just a bunch of sand being piled up off shore to this:
If you look in the upper right hand corner of the image, you can see some piles of sand in the water. These will eventually be the "Map of the World" islands. I flew over them the last time in 2010 and they were taking the shape of the continents each island is supposed to represent. The ones you can see in this image will become the shape of South America. Also, if you look just off the coast on the right hand side, you'll see the Burj al Arab. It is a sail shaped 7 star hotel with a tennis court at the very top: https://www.jumeirah.com/en/hotels-r.../burj-al-arab/
Andre Agassi and Roger Federer famously played on that court in 2005.

Apparently there is another palm tree shaped island that was built since I last flew in that part of the world. I remember seeing more sand being excavated and piled up on my last flight there. I didn't know it became this:

Any Army folks around when these things were in service?:
The Gamma Goat. I remember seeing them growing up at places my pops got stationed all over the world. Never worked on one, and from what I've been told by guys who did, I don't want to either!....sean

If this pic looks odd, it is because it was scanned from some old film pictures I took. You know. Before the digital age and digital cameras? Anyone have an idea what this is? I'll give you a hint. It was militarily significant in the 1930s...right up until 1945.....sean

Heh....yep.....the "Eagle's Nest. I hiked up to it with some buddies from work in late 1980s. It was snowed in so we couldn't take the tour, nor the bus up to the landing. For those who don't know, there is a landing where the road ends. In the cliff side, there is a door way to an elevator to take one up to the Kehlstein haus. Only in the winter, it too is unused. We...well, I had to take the path up. It was covered in ice and was actually a pretty hazardous climb up. I made it that far, and I wasn't about to give up until I got to the top.
