Here is another from that same TDY. I was a young guy back then and prone to do some fairly physically daunting things. Like climb the mountain behind this castle to take this particular picture. While not really militarily significant, pretty much ever it did become the model for someplace famous. Anyone know what that might be? All I can say is, that particular place is in the US.......sean

Since the last picture was only military related in that I was on active duty and on official military duty at a geographically separated location when I took it, here is another that is completely military related...despite its resort like appearance:

Wow, nobody answered?
I've been to Neuschwanstein in 1982 so I recognized it right away. Mad Ludwig's fantasy palace was not old enough for it to be needed in a military/defense sense.
Part of the inspiration (not really a direct "model") for Disney's Cinderella castle.
I would have never recognized the other one without the file-name of the photo.
