I have 10k song in my library so I listen to quite a bit of stuff

 

Hip hop/R&B - 30% Im a product of my environment, where i grew up everyone was listening to it
Rap - 25% Ditto as above
jazz - 25% My mom was my major influence, she listens to it every day, and so do i on the way too and from work
Blues - 5% My dad would clean the house on saturday mornings and blast james brown, his way of telling us to wake up
pop - 15% you cant turn on the radio without hearing it, your bound to like some of it

Id just like to say that the state of Rap/Hip Hop is rather atrocious. Wether you like the genre or not, long gone are the days of LL, Jay and Nas. Now i have to listen to some bamma rhyme cat with hat, or just use the same word at the end of every sentence. I miss the times when guys were stuggling to break into the industry, now any punk with a myspace account and crappy song about superman (you know who im talking about) can get a deal. The entire music industry is down the crapper, the only genre thats going to make it is pop music, because they dont need to be poor to come out with a record.

Then theres real classical. I like that too when I have time to devote some attention to listening.

But in the car I'll more often have Tull or Rush instead of Mozart.
