Yeah, I would only buy 2005 or newer. I hear the automatics also have some TSB's on them so manual all the way!

Only 2005 or newer? What about the classic mustangs? 64 1/2 to about 69? Those things are mad sexy and one of the few cars that will go up in value over time (along with other 60's cars made by gmc/chevy and dodge/chrysler)
fastbacks ftw!

1967 Shelby Fastback gets my vote.
Away from the daydreaming, these days I have little doubt that a worked accord could hang with or beat a factory mustang.
I'll try and bait one with the valdeez and see how bad I get whipped.

RE: mustang gt
yeah, they do keep wrecking those cars. also, got my car serviced today at this other shop i go to once in a while. and, this guy said that compare a 5 year old accord to a 5 year old mustang and the accord will be in much better shape. i guess with performance comes the price attached to it of owning it over a long span of time.

RE: mustang gt
The reason for that is all in the owner. Owners of Mustangs may tend to abuse them since they are always trying to race each other. Most people use Accords as grocery-getters. Many people will say that Fords are unreliable pieces of crap...but like that post I showed in another thread, you would be surprised to see that some parts in your Hondaare likelymade by Ford
It's all about stereotypes. Honda's are known for reliability, even though many transmission in the 6th gens were aweful pieces of junk, it seems that only Honda owners know about it. Then there is always the Ford-hater's creed:Found On Road Dead. Or maybe I have just been lucky with Fords. My dad once had an old manual transFord Escort that he drove over 400k miles. Then again, maybe Ford made the crappy trannies in the 6th gen accords!

I agree with the above.Check V-8 Camaro owners and find out how many problems there were. Young owners, lots of problems. Older owners, less problems, other than those that came with the breed. It all boils down to abuse. It would be the same with a Civic.

RE: mustang gt
The average accord driver probably doesn't race their accord while the average mustang owners buys it to drive the poop out of....so yeah that would make sense....
