Why were you banned from Xbox Live? I wanna know.. is that even a real image? It says "Power Surge FTW".. which i read as "Power Surge, For the Win!"... seems.. odd...

yeah, as for teh garage floor, that's the biggest complaint i've heard is the slickness of when it gets wet... i for some reason have a huge problem with that.. and more importantly for those in texas, i've heard a LOT of stories about how the tires on their cars get so hot that when they park in the garage the epoxy top-layer sticks to the tire and peels back... I've read a ton of these stories, so that frightens me as well.. I've also heard a lot about how difficult it is to get the floor acid etched, cleaned, leveled(although i've done this for many other things), and lastly covered evenly... i dunno.. just seems liek a lot of money to put down on a floor to not be guaranteed it'll last a year...

i have found these however, which seem like they might be cool...

It's actually about 2x the price as the epoxy, but it's supposed to uphold the heat a lot better, and is MUCH easier to implement (just unroll it and lay it out), and last MUCH longer... Best part is you don't have to permanently install it, so you can take it to the next home if it's still in decent condition.

lastly there's tiles you can get, which are much thicker and absorb a lot of the shock.. only thing is it doesn't look to be a practical use for a garage.. more liek a show floor..

that middle link looks cool and might be a great product but those tiles doo look like a showroom so I wonder how well the stand up to abuse....

Personally I'd probably just get a a couple of gallons of the cement paint, it's cheaper and easy to touch up but I'm not sure what kind of issues would arise from heat....

As for the "built in" area could you string some bracing in there then get a wall mount, attach to the bracing and use the oversized TV to cover the hole?
It's kind of complicated. The hole for the TV is on the left side of the fireplace above some cabinets. The fireplace is the center of the wall, and there are built in bookcases with cabinets below on theright side of the fireplace. So any way I look at it, if I want to go LCD or Plasma, I will just need to stick with 42' or less and just leave it ona stand instead of trying to wall mount. the previous owners has a 42' done that way when we looked at the house and it looked fine.

For inappropriate language and content in my person profil! lol So they deleted it and replaced it all with "Code of Conduct" about a million times. It was stupid.

Yes, you read it right, thats my Xbox Live gamertag. And its real! lol

I'm glad you realized what you had done and posted the second picture. I was thinking "BFD, it took all day to set it on a table?" Nice work.
