Default Need garage ideas!!!!

OK So I'm about to build a shed, hoping that the city and
Comon members no direct links to other selling sites are supposed to be allowed in here...even Sears..Takes up server space..leave the dots out of the links..That Is AllRight To Do...Thanks [&:]

HOA approve everything (don't get me started!!!! GRRRR) and will be purchasing an BUTTload tools (saws, hammers, nails, etc etc).

Because of this, I need to beef up my garage to hold my tools (the shed is mostly for outdoor things like bikes and lawn equipment).

I already have just about every car tool I need, and I have it neatly packed in my rolling toolbox. I'm sure I'll need a few more things as the years go on, but I have room to grow there.
These two sit on top of each other in my garage currently:

I also have a vertical 33gal compressor, so I'll need space for that to stand as it won't go under the bench (I like to move it a lot anyway, and vertical just takes up less space when working with it).

So to state it early on, a pre-requisite is I want to fabricate everything myself. After all, I'm buying all these damn tools and want to put them to good use. I don't have measurements right now, but will pretty soon, but my vision is to have a bench to support a vice, a grinder, and some shelving to support my tools, oils, cans, etc. I also need some kind of ventilation. Oh, and one more thing, I'm a super NEAT freak, and would often like to take everything out of the garage and clean the floor/walls. if things are permanent, I'm ok as long as stuff doesn't get stuck behind/around it like cobwebs or sawdust.

I've been looking online, and see a bunch of pre-fab cabinets and such, but honestly i think they all suck... they most likely won't fit in my garage with my 2 cars, and look kinda weird to me for a garage. They're usually red or silver, and I think that stands out too much... black is ok, but again I'm not too keen on the pre-fab look. Plus it doesn't follow my pre-req about building it all myself... So you're asking, why don't I just build them and get it over with? Well, again, I wanna see if there's some better ideas than a standard/typical cabinet.
I don't like the typical "get a shelf stand" thing, and want something a bit.. hmm what's the word... revolutionary!
You see, your typical shelves and shelf stands end up looking trashy, much like this: http://lh3.ggpht.com/_mgl48c2y5hM/Rw...g/IMG_0743.jpg
I want to stay away from that. I want something that will hide clutter, but also give me quick/easy access.

I'm also not a fan of pegboards... I'm not sure why, and I'll most likely default to one, but as organized as they are, they still look cluttered and messy to me: http://www.home-garage-help.com/imag...oard-ideas.jpg
I think it's the holes in the boards that make me feel that way... So an alternative is this, but I can't find a name for it: http://www garageinnovation com/images/MVC-072S.JPG
Yes, it serves an identical purpose, I know; but to me, aesthetically, it looks nicer.

I also want to cover the floor, and have already decided AGAINST epoxy on the floor. I've read a lot of Texans have issues with the heat here, and the flooring comes up, even if it was acid etched well. That and it gets super slippery if wet (That's what SHE said!). I *always* spill oil when doing oil changes (I just can't help it ok?), and I hate how it stains the concrete for a while. Above all, it just seems like a PITA to do, and I don't really care to put that much effort into the garage floor to baby it like that. Don't try to sell me on epoxy, it just won't work.
Obviously I can't fabricate this myself, but I want to know if anyone has any experience with any products out there.
I was thinking of going with this: http://www americangaragefloor om/blt_garage_floor_coin.php , but I'm unsure about the quality, as well as the pricing.
Is there something better and/or cheaper? Or anyone with experience have a better product?

So honestly, this is mostly for open discussion, and I'm certain I'll be falling back on the defacto garage implementation... I was just looking for inspiration to do something extraordinary and functional.

So let's hear it!

The garage innovation wall is called Slot Wall and is very common in a lot of stores and in garages. I will be doing that to my garage. U-coat it is a good epoxy floorand some other of the perfessional epoxy systems but they are very expensive. The stuff from Home depot is crap. American garage floor is a good clean alternetive. Also the snap tile garage floor systems are good but also costly but if you ever pick up an move you can take it with you. While looking at the rolling tool boxes take a look at Lowes and Home Depot they both offer some decent tool boxes at a cheaper price compared to Sears. Good luck with everything. I also have to deal with an HOA but im not required to talk to them about my shed I put up about a year ago. My problem is my wife doesnt throw anything away and my 2 kids have more toys then Toys R Us. lol
