New 2006 Accord - How much is worth?
Hello everyone,
I have a 2006 Honda Accord Ex-L V6 Coupe.
I bought the car brand new for my wife. Two weeks later she ceased to use it due to the lack of visibility in the back. Drove it only when sunny for long trips (like 200 km one way, and back)
The car is fully loaded except navigation (which was not offered at that time).
In rest it has everything:
- Sport Kit with deck lid spoiler
- body side molding
- Fog lamps
- engine block heater
- moonroof visor deflector
- auto Day/Night mirror with compass
- Trunk tray
- Trunk net
- carpet mats
- rubber mats
- tint in the back
- antitheft wheel nuts
- splash guards
whatever option was available at that moment I bought it. At that time was 42.000 CAD
The car was undercoated professionaly.
Since day 1 the whole front is protected. Th car is protected by 3M the most expensive, the one that is coming back to its shape with warm water.
The 3M was custom made and it covers:
- FULLY the whole bumper with whole sport package
- Full front hood
- Full fornt fenders
- A pillars until they reach the moonroof
- Full foglamps
- Full headlamps
- Mirrors
- side skirts
The vehicle has 12.000 km on board (yes twelve thousand).
The car has not even a hair scratch on the wheels. Everything is original, wheels and tires.
The oil was changed twice a year regardless of the number of km.
All fluids were replaced two years ago to eliminate any risk of condensation (brake fluids, cooling fluids, etc.)
The battery was still good, however, I bought a Honda battery last fall in 2012 just to be sure everything is ok.
The car was never driven in winter and actually it never seen the rain.
I wash the car only with tochless gun with pressure, never seen brushes or stuff like that. The car was waxed by hand twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall. The leather was treated once a year with Zymol products. Still smells new when you get in. The shoes never touched the carpet or the mats. It still has plastic under the pedals.
My question to you is: How much is worth?
Should I keep it, should I sell it?
I am a car freak, I keep my cars in a extremely good shape.
The technician that is taking care of it at Honda wants to buy it, however, I never thought about it.
Any thoughts?

I'd be seriously tempted if it was A) a U.S. car, and B) had a manual transmission.
I'm thinking you should keep it and drive it until; you're not going to be able to buy a nicer car for the money you could sell it for.

I Agree With Shippo
He gave you a answer I would have given you. If your intent on selling it, then get the KBB and see it's price and add $2,000 Yes I said that much.
If he don't want to pay that much...don't sell it!
GO for the CASH...

I am getting 28,000 now from my tech. Seriously. He really wants it. It is also something with this model that he particulary likes...
One dealership manager offered me 25,000 in September.
The screws under the car are like new. Everything is new.
I am at work, I have no picture from under the car. even the wheel wells are new without scratches. What should I say more?
I have BMW and a Jaguar, is just sitting there.
Maybe I should keep it, in 20 years sell it back to Honda
