New car and insurance
I'm 21 and had my permit for almost 2 years in which I became pretty decent at driving. At 20 just 2 months before my birthday I took my road test and got my license. I'm making a decent salary and I will like to buy a new car, but every time I try to look up for insurance some ridiculous numbers come back :/
Any advise?
Thank you.

Just going to have to shop around my dude. If it is your first car it will run a little coin. Also the driving experience will have some say in that since you haven't been on the road that long yet. An option I did since I have multiple vehicles is Progressive's snapshot. Take the quote they give you and enroll in the snapshot program. You can receive up to 30% off on your total bill. Just make sure you give yourself enough braking distance. That is really all they look at. But with age your premium will decrease.

As far as insurance companies are concerned, your time behind the wheel with a "permit" is completely irrelevant; all they know is that you a "new" driver. Said another way (once again from the insurance company perspective), "new" drivers and "new" cars don't make for a cheap risk, and when the actuarials say the risk won't be cheap, then the insurance premiums won't be cheap as well.
My advice would be to buy an old "beater" car, buy minimal insurance for it like Liability and Road Side Assistance, and drive it for a couple of years before you buy a new car. Even then as a 23 year old driver you're going to pay high premiums for a new car, just not as high as you will right now.
