Sounds like a well thought out plan of attack!
X2 on the squats- biggest individual muscles use the most food energy and the after effect is amplified by the walk/run/elliptical routine.
Maybe sticking with falk's cig reduction plan is the best idea to wean off without hammering the buffet as compensation.
Laying off the sweet smoke will prolly help with the weight reduction too.[>:] Not my personal choice tho(losing weight or layin off cheeb). I say smoke up, drink a thermobomb type beverage, eat a powerbar and go lift!

Stick to the plan and whup dey azz!

After pigging out this weekend, I didn't make my goal of 250lbs. At weigh in this morning I weighed 241.2 lbs. I know it is because I didn't eat enough salt this weekend to retain water. I am just not a big salt fan though. That will help me out in the weight loss.
I'll update my bi-monthly weights on the weigh in's on this thread.

Good luck Jon!!!!

Oh yeah .... valdeez. In HS, some of my friends used to smoke the sweet stuff and not eat to cut the last couple of pounds.

I've only had 7 smokes today. We had to take the baby to day care for the first time today so that was a bit stressful. It's hard to hand over your 9 week old baby to (basically) a total stranger. I am going to do as Falkore suggested though and only carry like 7 in a pack with me to force myself to ration them. The drinking will be cut off as of tonight. Remember I was trying to pack on some weight for the weigh in today. My weak @$$ couldn't even finish a case of beer by myself over the weekend. Of course, there was some whiskey and vodka drinking thrown in there too. And I drank a bottle of champagne one night. And a jumbo Margarita at a Mexican restaraunt last night. Dang....I drink too much[:-]

The Margarita needed extra salt.
Not bad at 241 tho- good margin for victory![sm=bounceybounce.gif]

Forgot to update yesterday:
Yesterday was not an "official" weigh in, but it was on a pay day so most people weighed anyway.
I weighed 232.2. So I've lost 9 lbs in 8 days. Or 3.73% of my starting body weight. The funny thing is, I didn't even try all that hard last week. Never once went walking or running. I drank about 1 or 2 beers every night too. on the weekend I went out to Buffalo Wild Wings and had some super calorie filled "Ultimate Nachos" as well as a bunch of deep fried boneless chicken wings. To wash it down I had 4 22oz Guinesses and a 22oz Heineken (draft - Heineken draft is soooo much better than the overpriced skunk beer that comes in the green bottles.)
Yesterday I started my 5 - 6 small meals a day plan. My wife and I walked about 2 miles Monday and Tuesday night as well. Plus I've cut out salt (I don't add it to anything). And I've been drinking as much water as I can.
The next weigh in is January 31. But I may weigh myself for the heck of it on Tuesday next week anyway.
