If it's a Honda, it may be riced out, but hardly a piece of crap!

 

I should clarify that, it makes a beautifull car look like a piece of crap.

 

imo rice is any car that has more visual modifications than performace modifications.

The author is not stating that everything on that list is rice, he is stating various modifications that "ricers" do to them... all of which are true.

 

I don't agree ..... some people don't want or need any performance mods, but want the car to look nice .... owner's perception. I think that rice is visual mods that are overdone and not tasteful. You can spend thousands on body kits, tasteful spoilers or wings and a killer multilayered paintjob and have the car looking beautiful and I wouldn't think that it is rice. On the other hand, rice can be cheap or expensive. Some of those park-bench wings are meant for the track and can be very expensive, but bolted to the top of a hatch, it just looks stupid. Also, american cars can get riced out too!!! Especially the Neon/SRT-4 crowd and the focus crowd.

Rice is a tough one to define and it depends on what you like or don't like. One man's rice-mobile is another man's dream car!

IMO rice is a car(usually a automatic) that has body kit, big sound system, vinyls down the side, stickers for companies like APC(now out of business so idk what they will do)that are all meant to make it look like it goes fast, when in reality it just has a intake and exhaust.......maybe headers.

see alot of these at NOPI lol, where they judge you based on quanity not quality

you know you can write a page and send it in there and if it has good info in it they will make it a webpage. Wikipedia doesn't really do all of their writing. So blaming them is pointless.

Besides it was probably written some hick ford owner who got cutoff on the highway by someguy with an asian oriented vehicle.

in my opinion there are two types of fast cars. Those that look good and those that look bad.

Those that look good dont need body kits.
those that look bad are going to look just as bad with a body kit.

I know this is my own person opionion, but when it comes down to it, you want to give me a sleeper car with 400whp or a "tricked out" car with 400whp, i would take the sleeper car.
