Angry one of those days...

Ever have one of those days.. where you wish you put the money you spent on a pos 97 eclipse gsx, into your beloved 90 Honda accord 230k beater that runs better....? I'm having that day..

Owned this accord for a year now... 25k miles later she runs even better! 140 miles a day, highway, and back roads... Hauling butt... Sadly my 97 dsm, spins a bearing a week after I buy it..

For sale- 97 gsx... Runs- like ****.. bout to die.. 500$! Any takers?

I understand your frustration with the DSM, 3 or 4 of my friends have them and they seem like nothing but money pits. One of them has had to completely rebuild the engine 3 or 4 times in the past 4 years.

If you were located near me I'm sure one of them would buy your car!

...ouch....Danny, that sucks.

I know you don't want to hear this right now. That is why I stick with my Honda's. Had a Buick once, a Nissan once and a Toyota once, all had to go because of "major issues" or repeated major issues, maybe it was the year or model but???....nothing but Honda's since ~98 (Dad bought the Chevelle new in Aug of 66 so it will always be in the family ) and none of them have left because of "major mechanical issues"....one got rearended and was a loss

Anyway, wish I could help or had a better response....sorry to hear about the gsx.

ive worked over 2 s10s.. top to bottom, one with a built 4.3, trans and rear.. body just fell apart on both...

my jimmy is just dying..

my new to me eclipse, lol, needs a rebuild now.. its painful to rebuild a 4g63t in a laundry room haha

yet.. the 700$ 90 accord, starts, runs harder and better every day.. even with a faded blue, to dark blue, to faded clear coat.. rust holes above the rear fenders of course.. but everything works well, and she moves great!!

yea fellas, its time to put some money into this 90 accord... give her the rebirth she deserves.. intake + headers back exhaust=200$ lol... valve job=free.. some rims and tires=600$.. gallon of bondo and a gallon of some single stage cromaone=free... that sounds like a good time!

how much hp can be pulled out of a 2.2 f22a anyway with a rebuild?? turbo? any ideas?

Hey there, if you'd like to try and sell it, take a couple of pictures and put it in the For Sale forums..never know that it might go in there..

F22as are capable of huge amounts of horsepower. It is a F22 that currently holds the record for fastest all motor 4 cylinder with Bisimoto's Honda Insight.

Of course that is one heck of a f22 with 15:1 compression ratio.

Turboed they can make 250-300hp reliably on a stock block, with built motors making far more.

As hard as I push this little f22.. it seems to take it and love it...

I burn a quart of oil a week.. horrible power steering leak I can't find so I ignore, and as ugly as she is lol I still have so much fun when I get down on her... Id hate to tear down a running car just to rebuild and make power.. its my daily driver still at 30mpg... This eclipse was gonna allow me to park the Honda for some upgrades.. but now I'm back to square one... I wonder when and what its gonna twos to get this little car to blow..

Still debating on what to do with eclipse.. used motors everywhere, all crank walkin for sure... It is a fun car, awd is amazing behind booost...
