The guy emailed me back, here is what is new on it ............

There is a new timing belt, water pump, spark plugs, wires, distributor, radiator, exhaust, brakes, rear tires.

The color I'm not wild about, I'm a light color guy has far as a car looking good 100, 200, 300K down the road and 15-20 years later.

Am I good or what? Just thought I'd better check today so I didn't eat crow on my off the cuff appraisal.

Dude, you're the man!!!!

OP: If I were you, I'd ask the seller to post some hi resolution pictures of every angle and closer on photobucket or another server before you drive to go see it ..... just to verify that it is -mint-. If all is good and you want to buy it, I'd offer $3000 and let him sit on it. In this economy, I don't see him moving it for the $4500 asking price.

Yep, I asked him to send me some detailed pictures, I'll post them when I get them and see what you guys think. He said a guy offeref him 4K and he would not take it, who knows if that is BS or not.

If that is true, then you wait until he is ready to entertain a reasonable offer. $4k is more than it's worth, so he's either lieing or dumb, or doesn't really need to get rid of the car.
