ok... but first i need to know if it's true that a console (let's say 12k btu) spends less energy (ohms) than the one you put on the window. In my house (not the apartment for college) I have a room w/ out a/c... it's like 12ft by 15ft plus a small bath...

FYI - Ohms is resistance, power is energy (kW).
