Default popular rim size

my car has the factory 4 lug 15" 5 spoke rims. im trying to figure out whether 15" or 16" rims are more popular. what it boils down to is whether to keep a size 15 on my car or to upgrade to 16s. will i have trouble finding tires for either size?

You won't have trouble finding tires for either size. It's what you want. Why worry about what's "more popular"?

I'm not specifically worried about popularity just mostly tires cause some sized rims are hard to find tires for

There's so many 1998-2002 Accords and other cars that came with factory wheels in both sizes, I don't think you'll have any problem finding tires in either size. The 15" ones will be probably a bit less expensive tho.

I think the 16s would look better, and 17s would look even better than that. 18s are too big in my opinion.

But as Jim said, the bigger the rim, the more expensive the tires.

Aren't 17s hard to find tires for?

Not really, any tire place will have tires for 17s, and probably 18s, anything bigger than that and it might be a special order item.

For example both mine and my wifes volvos come with 17in rims, so they can't be that hard to find.

Tires are pretty expensive in general, even with the cheapest tire it would be hard to get 4 tires mounted and balanced for less than $400. And for a good tire you could easily spend $600 for 4 even for a 15in rim.
