Question about theft
#2
Well, that varies a tremendous amount depending on where you live. Have to tell us SOMETHING to go on. We have no way to judge how bad it is unless one of us lives near you.
But the 2006 has full window frames, so its a bit harder to open. The EX has a factory alarm, right? Those go in your favor.
But car alarms are getting so common, that everyone ignores them when they go off anyway, right?

It's a yes and no kind of thing.
There are a few options available to you.
- Some people will use the face of the stock radio and superglue the buttons and everything in and then place it over their navi.
- You can invest in a good aftermarket alarm, DEI Electronics makes good ones (Viper, Clifford, Hornet, etc.) and Compustar does too. If you park on the street, this is probably the best idea.
- Window tint sometimes helps. People can't see in, but then people will think you have something to hide.
I have a Clifford Matrix RSX 12.5 and it's pretty nice. Goes off if the wind blows too hard.
But, none of these is going to protect you 100%. It's far too easy for a thief to smash the window, open the door, pop the hood and disconnect the battery under 30 seconds.

could go with the 7th gen double din which sits in the middle cubby and just pop the face plate every time you get out if they see the stock head unit they might think you took something else thats not there.
