Quitting Smoking

Quitting Smoking
I'm officially quitting. I started taking Chantix this week. The pill that supposedly blocks the nicotene receptors in your brain. You take it for a week while still smoking, then you are supposed to quit smoking after 7 days and keep taking the pills. This crap better work for the $130 it costs for a 1 month supply. You are suposed to take it for 12 weeks. And no, health insurance won't pay a dime for it specifically because it is for "cessation of smoking." Funny how health insurance will go on and ontelling you how beneficial it is for your healthif youquit smoking, but then they won't cover anything that will help you quit!

Good luck.
Isn't $130/ month cheaper than a month's worth of cigs?

Same here. Plus I really like smoking too.
I will definitely update my opinion of the Chantix and whether I think it is worth it or not. So far I don't think I have enough in my system. That's why they tell you to continue smoking for the first week because it needs to build up in your body.
Monday is approaching far too quickly[&o]

Good luck! I recently had my 1 yr anniversary of quiting chew. I had either chewed or smoked for the previous 18 years. It was tough, but after the 1st month, It gets much easier.
