Ricers....
I was just wondering what everyone hates (or likes) about ricers the most, is it the cars or the drivers? I don't really mind them unless they act macho macho at car shows. In my opinion I think they are fine...if they like their car, well I think thats all that really matters.

RE: Ricers....
So what defines a ricer? I'm sure it differs from person to person, but overall it's what?, the modifications to the vehicle, the attitude, the music, clothes?
In the end, as long as we try to bring all Hondinians together, it's all good. [sm=smiley20.gif]

RE: Ricers....
I know ricer is a term that has been thrown around for any japanese car. However, I think it means now-a-days someone who more or less just tries to make their car look fast, instead of actually doing things to increase performance.
Come on, anyone who puts a big wing on a FWD car with nothing else done to it performance wise is going to get it from someone.
I really don't care what people do to their cars. But a lot of people do for some reason. I guess it gives the domestic guys something to rip on. Even import tuners make fun of them...

Yeah, thats one thing i don't care for. The "ricers" do tend to give Honda owners a bad name.
I would define a ricer as someone with some form of overly done visual mod(s). Like a wing thats too big or investing enough money in body kits/rims/paint to have been able to buy a turbo or super charger/cat-back/etc....and actually be fast. If someone just has the clothes and/or the attitude I don't tend to consider them a ricer, but it does tend to add to the "rice factor" if they already have the referenced criteria.
Oh, and the exhaust has the be considered. No car should sound like a weed wacker unless this thing is one wicked, 200hp peice of yard equipment.

I don't really hate ricers, like everyone says: It's their car, so they can do what they want.
I just don't like the crap the honda community as a whole has had to deal with due in part to them.
