The Second Coming

RE: The Second Coming
Football is amazing. I love the continuous flow of the game. Not like amer. football where it stops every so many seconds and baseball. The ability to play a 90 min game just amazes me. I read somewhere a while ago that the avg footballer runs 5 miles during a game.
I haven't been following football at all =(. I'm missing out on champions league. Last I watched was the womens copa mundial and USA disappointed lol. Oh I did watch becks when he first played for galaxy. What do you think of becks coming to usa?

i used to play soccer so i would watch american soccer occasionally.
Football is OK, i usually only watch the last few games in the playoffs though. Speaking of, anyone waiting to see the giants get creamed by the pack?

The thing that's missing in soccer is that you can't blow through a 320 lb. offensive tackle, shed the fullback and run right over the quarterback like you can in American football ....... also, in the states, both sports are played in the fall (High School teams anyway). I think the last point is what leads to the American views on our football vs. soccer. I think both are great sports, but pigskin is for me. I've always been more into strength and technique rather than finesse, accuracy or (body motion) speed sports.
Football, wrestling, CQC, skiing, snowboarding, SCUBA, rock climbing, hiking, etc. are the sports for me.
Soon to come: Surfing, Wind Surfing, Rap Jumping, Sky diving, Wakeboarding, Water Skiing, Hang Gliding

I wasn't knocking soccer (or Euro Football) just trying to explain to someone from another country where it is in our lineup of sports.....in short it's hardly on the map. I'm not a big sports fan at all so none of them matter to me in the least. Play and enjoy whatever suits you.

RE: The Second Coming
I used to play futbol (soccer) and I loved it, unfortunately I don't have the lung capacity for it. But as for the running, jumping, put your whole body into, thats my kinda game. As for our football, never was a fan of it, can't stand to watch it, in person or on tv. Baseball is my sport of choice.
For the record, I cannot stand professional sports, atleast football and baseball. It's too refined to where the players are just masses of muscle being paid millions of dollars to do what millions of kids like to do on the weekends with their friends.
Some minor league or college sports is about the extent of what I can stand to watch on tv. I for one, would be much happier playing the sport than being a spectator of it.
