why not just pay it? Loan from the parents? You can get it adjourned if you have a viable reason, like your lawyer couldn't make it, but not just because you want to wait for your next paycheck ...... most courts let you pay by CC too.

Contact the court right now. Being irresponsible like that (and dare I say just not smart) can cost you your driving privelleges.

You should be able to get an extension or file for a payment plan if you go to court/government center. I know you can in MN. My license was almost suspended because the Dept. of Public Safety received note from the County Court that I didn't pay, but I did. You can usually be up to 21 days late with a fee tacked on, after 21 days they come after your license.

All states are different and so are the county laws, but around me they will issue a warrant for your arrest if you do not pay or show up. It doesnt mean they will kick down your door but next time they stop you you will be locked up. Plus good luck getting insurence again. Pay the ticket anyway you can and avoid a lot of headaches.

well, I live in Brazos County in TX... and i worked on waiving the ticket off by taking the a driving safety course... However, i did not give the court the documents they need in the right time... so the have told that it is considered like i never did... and i should wait for a letter that will set my court session time and date..

later on, i did receive the letter and went to court where i had a trial ( BU50 vs Texas.) ... sounds funny :P

nevertheless, they should send u a letter or put charge late fees if u didnt have to go to court
