Default Unattentative driver?

So I was driving on the freeway in the carpool lane and saw cars behind me starting changing over to the right lane. I do so as well and after a couple seconds saw a sheriff department car with its lights on going past me. The SUV in front just stayed there and didn't bother to move over to the right. After a minute or two the siren went on and the SUV got pulled over. Was the SUV driver not paying attention or do you only have to move over when police cars have both their lights and siren on? Anyway looks like that SUV got at least a speeding ticket because it was going 80 in a 65 zone.

Some people are just idiots. They will see an emergency vehicle with lights flashing behind them and it doesn't register in their brain until 5 minutes later that they should get out of the way. MORONS!!!!!

Or they don't check their mirrors. There are drivers who only look through their windshield unless they're changing lanes. These people are usually clueless to the traffic conditions behind them. They're usually the ones who hold up traffic by going really slow in the fast lane.

Gotta love people with tunnel vision. Just out of curiosity was the driver a male or female? I ntotice a lot of people around here don't yield until the last minute. Whenever I see an emergency vehicle going through an intersection, I usually close my eyes because people are loco around here.

Driver was male.

Speaking of yielding I had to slam on my brakes yesterday as I went through an intersection. The car making a right turn on a red clearly saw me because he waited on all of the cars in front of me but decided to turn right as I was going through the intersection. It wasn't like he had a supercar that could accelerate from 0-40 in 2secs. The guy was driving an old ASTRO VAN. I was surprised the cop didn't do anything since he was waiting to get out of a parking lot about 50ft away. I would love to know what the guy was thinking when he pulled out in front of me when he clearly knew that cars were coming his way.

I get that a lot too man! Mostly on these round abouts the city put in. People just don't look to see if someone is in the round about and go on through leaving me to yield to them. As I get into the round about I usually have my hand near the horn anticipating an unattentive driver. I noticed that the patrol vehicles hardly EVER do anything about traffic violations in these parts. People will be going well over the speed limit and they rarely do anything, unless the patrol cars have a speed trap set up or a stop sign trap (if thats the wording?). The ones who do pull people over are the motorcycle cops. Oh well....

I think in my case the driver had a brain8888 because there was a continuing pack of cars coming that he had waited for but all of a sudden thinks it was smart to pull out as I came through the intersection.

Just dropped my sis off this morning and almost got hit in the side by a car coming out of a parking lot. I parked on the curb to let my sis out and merged back in traffic. I guess I merged too fast for the car coming out of the parking lot because she came out as I was going by and had to brake or would have hit my right quarter panel. I was clearly already in the lane so I don't know what she was thinking, maybe thought that I would stop traffic just to let her out (yeah right). Anyway she then honks out me when it was clearly I had the right of way since I had finished merging already. She then blows by me in a school zone and come to a stop at the red light. I pulled up along side her and gave her the biggest grin ever. Guess I99999 her off because when it was green she took off to try to cut me off but I saw that coming so gave my car some gas and she had to brake to avoid hitting the car in front of her. All in all I feel better now since I seemed to5555 her off even more. I really should install a dash cam to record off of the stupid things drivers do in my area. They act like they're the only one on the road and disreguard the traffic laws they've learned when they got their license.

Wow was watching the news and saw a report of some guy hitting and killing a Caltrans worker filling up a pot hole. Just goes to show how important it is to pay attention to the road when driving. Looks like they guy is gona get in some trouble because the video showed cones and road work signs set up in the area.
