What tool brand do you use when workin?
Hey, So basically I was thinking of investing in a quality socket/wrench set. What do you guys use?
I get a huge discount on snap-on tools through my avitation mechanics courses... so the larger price isnt much of a concern.

I have one of those Craftsman 150 something piece mechanics tool set. Haven't broke anything yet. My ratcheting wrenches are gearwrench, breaker bar is sk, and the torque wrench is storm (napa brand).
I have a denali (cheapie) 50 something piece socket set in the back of my car.

Snap-on is good. Take advantage of that discount.
I've got a random mixture of brands, because I collected them a little bit at a time.
Snap-On
Craftsman
SK
I don't even remember all the different brands...

I inherited my dad's old craftsman sockets as well as some cheepie ones (can't remember the name, they sell em at autozone) and i havent had anything break yet.
When I go to buy a new set though, I'll probably go with craftsman.
If I could afford snap-on or kobalt, maybe I'd think about one of those brands, but they are kinda out of my price range.

Take advantage of the Snap On discount but find out how you get one replaced when it goes......where will the truck be then?
I go with Sears but I don't earn my living with tools or I'd have Snap On or Mac.

snap-on or mac tools are the best INMO but they are stupid expensive. I have a set of stanley I believe (pretty sure they're made by craftsman) that I bought from a pawn shop for like $25.00 and have never had any issues with. I've snapped the heads on a few of the other cheepie sets. a lot of craftsman tools have a lifetime warranty on them anyway so there's no need for me to go buy the stupid expensive stuff...
