RE: Pics of my '08 V6 coupe...
i wonder....why are all the hondas they come out with advertising the fact that they are V6??...are most of em made with just 4 cylinders???...and if so why??...i understand that hondas are lite and a v8 would prolly be a complete transofrmation.....but why isnt v6 the standard for these cars?

Because Honda has always been a green company, if you don't need a V6 or V8 why put one in?
And Honda makes V8s for their F1 cars...
Honda V6s have been around for quite some time now and since the cars are getting a little bit bigger, so are the engines.

well when u say "need" it techincally most people dont but pontiac still made their gto and nissan still made their titan and dodge still made their 3500 and chrysler made their 300c...so i dont get it...wudnt u just throw one in a car just to see how it sells first then base your outcome on whether or not to build em any more?

Different target markets. GTO is a muscle car (sort of...) and was built for power. Nissan Titan is a pickup truck, yes it needs the power. Dodge Ram 3500 right? Same thing. Chrysler 300/C/M is sort of historic in the fact, if you've seen the commercials.
It's along the same lines as a V6 Nissan GT-R. Why? Because a twin-turbo 6 is much more impressive and responsive than a V8. The Honda S2000 is only a 4 banger, but yet it's a track monster. Mitsu EVO is a four banger, along with the Subaru STi, both of those cars' rally classes max out at a 2.0L inline four.
Honda was built around economy, enviromentalism and family. A V8 goes against most of that.

Honda are well knownfor their 4 cylinder engines, the reason i switched for the v6 is the performance.I used to drive a v8 all my life. BTW, it can knocks off some of the V8 cars you see everyday. Why do you want a V8 when you can have a V6 with the performance of the v8?? Not to mention, fuel efficient, more capin space, lighter weight and less harm for environment.
