No not really any updates. Have been workin too much to even have time to look at my poor cb7.
Swapping this engine in is the same as dropping a h22 engine. The power output is just diff. along with the reliability. A h22 engine will be more reliable than a g22 engine.

Default Update for the interested

Well some new news. If everything goes as planned. I will have a 2.0l g20 vtec engine. Cam is the only one on the site that knows what I'm doing...So Cam DON'T spill your guts just yet!
All I'm going to tell you is I'm gonna de-stroke my f22a and turn her into a f20b. But I'm not gonna tell you how just yet. Should be interesting since I THINK I will be the 1st one that I personally know of who has attempted this hybrid build.

DEATAILS SOON TO COME...so stay tuned

Ohh yeah I'm also not going turbo anymore it will be n/a with spray

I see you figured out the destroking portion of the build. Good luck and I hope it works out for you. hybrids can be a pita if they dont like each other. if you need any IM's or TB's let me know! h23/h22/f22a/f22b. I have a lot of parts for sale over on cd5tuner. PM me!

great dude, i feel you on the hatch and civic problem, friend i have has a 2000 si and dosent even respect what he's sitting on, i love my accord to death and i really wanna do either a full h22 swap on it or just put the h22 head on it, will it make it easier since i have the f22b1 Vtec in it or does it matter?

well i have seen him say in other threads, that its easier and a lot more reliable to do a full h22 swap, and being you have the vtec engine harness, you dont have to wire in the vtec. so in that sense, yes it is easier.

well not quite yet. Iv hit yet another snag...with the pistons rods and crank combo I'm gonna use the pistons will sit -0.020in out of the hole. So I'm trying to find what I can do without killing my compression (with this set up I will have 10:9:1 c/r) and without having to domajor machining I hope. I think I have it figured out but need to get the parts in my hands 1st to start claying and stuff.

Just do a full h22 swap. You won't be happy with the results of just a h22 head swap. Not worth the cost or headaches.

Yes it is. By the time I get done with the swap. With me doing all the math and claying the engine and all the work I'm putting into thus build I have no idea how long it will last. But the cost of what I'm doing is far less than a h22 swap. I have just about all the parts lying around or I found deals on certain parts I just could not pass up. But if I get it right I will have the power output of 190+whp with a very nice high end power band for a fraction of a h22/f20b price.

well sadly I think I'm gonna sell my cb7. Either as a rolling shell or part her out.

Dude I wana help you so bad. That looks a lot of fun!!! I can't wait to restore my 96 Celica. The wife doesn't want to stop driving it until something goes wrong with it. Your car is going to be so bad *** when you are finished.

well I know I have done a lot to her. But I want something lighter. I just can't seem to shave off enough weight off this accord. plus I have wanted a rex or hatch for some time. this cb7 has not been running for about a year. I don't want to get rid of her but I think it's time. Who knows in a few weeks if I don’t sell her I might end up keeping her if I can find a trans in my price range. I just need a car I can't be out of transportation for much longer
