Default 2004 Accord 4cyl - Looking to drop

Hello, I have seen a few threads here about performance lowering, and am looking to do this. Was wanting to know what exactly is needed for this. Looking to drop for performance but not wanting to sacrifice ride quality...not looking for a stiff ride. This is an every day car.

Coilover
Alignment 1
Camber Kit
Alignment 2

Are these the steps and the needed parts to do this? Anything else that I am missing? Also, is there a recommended coilover or performance kit that you would recommend? Again, not looking for anything that is extreme, just looking for a performance enhancement.

Thanks

I am seeing nightmare posts where parts are making contact with other parts when they shouldnt, like the control arm being adjusted when it is lowered...I am not sure if I will be running into any of these issues as well. If anyone out there has a 2004 accord and knows of possible issues with lowering, it would be greatly appreciated to see those as well.

I just read the FAQ 2.0...before you flame me some of my questions have been answered. The only thing would be control arm issues. Has anyone experienced issues with lowering a 2004 4cyl. Accord? Not lowering it that much, just looking at a less than 2" drop, maybe around 1.5''. Thanks

Don’t know anything about your gen accord. But some good brands to look into are function & form and Tein. They make some good stuff. No need to have 2 aliments done. Get the set up you want install then get your aliment done. No need to do aliment be4 that’s just silly. But your on the right track…and thank you for researching be4 posting. Wish more members would do the same

I am not sure if it will need the camber kit. Looking to drop it less than 2''. The camber kits I am looking at, I think they would be required for all 4 axles, so it could be around 4-500 more, if needed....?

Also, when I drop this and if need be get a camber kit, what affect does dropping have on the tires vs. having OEM installed parts. Are the tires going to wear faster?

Thanks for the insight, it is greatly appreciated.

yes the tires will ware faster with he drop. Some ppl say yes and some ppl say no you don’t need the camber kit just get a good aliment. Me personally I would get the front camber kits it's worth it gives the person aliening it more options to work with and it will help save the ware on your tires. You can run most of your OE parts since your not dropping a whole lot.
