Default do i have to worry about my control arms when lowering my car?

my rear control arms sort of stick out kinda far
like they are right over the tire, probablly a good 1-2 inches
and i have already been hitting my control arms with my tires this weekend when i went paintballing with 3 of my friends and a trunk full of stuff, the car dropped down like it was lowered and when i was on the freeeway, going about 75, it would sometimes bounce and then you can hear the scratch on the tires against the control arms

the bounce would be because the freeway is not perfectly flat, so it would bounce

looking at the rubb markson the outside of the tire, its not your control arm you've got to worry about. Try not to load your rear end down like that again till you have the inside of the fender "rolled" that will give your wheels more room to work with. you could maybe do it with a well aimed hammer, but would be better done at a shop, they take a heavy duty roller to the underside of the fender lip and bend the lip out of the way of the tire/rim.

OH!, that's why my rear tires have that scrape
i was like, wtf? where is that comming from
well, all i know is that im going to get a smaller width so it wont rub like that anymore, 215's instead of 225's
but anyways, so you think i will be ok if i lowered my car?
the control arms wont get in the way?

if i lowered my car with a stiffer suspension, do you think that i would have to worry about this problem anymore?
or maybe i have to still get a smaller tire width too?
