Default I need help with a problem resulting from a bad halfshaft

Okay, I'll just lay out what I know and what I know happened, if anyone has any input, it would be GREATLY appreciated!

The passenger side halfshaft was bad, so we went to replace it and the ball joint at the same time. Everything was going relatively okay until it came time to the installation of the halfshaft. I know the halfshaft should have just slid right in, but it wasn't going in. I compared it to my old halfshaft and everything seemed to match up. With a little force, the halfshaft went into place. When it came time for the test drive, there was a weird metal grinding noise when I took a mild left. Took the wheel back off and checked, realized it could have been something brake related, and made sure everything looked fine. Took it for another test drive and now the grinding sound is different and is more accerelation related. Any ideas on this? Could it be a halfshaft that is slightly off in measurements? I bought a remanufactured one and I guess that's common but I'm puzzled by this. I'm tired of dealing with the problem but am unsure of what to do.

Thanks.

Hi member...
1st off, where did you by the CV Axel and what was the stock number on the box...
Also if you want help here in the forums , you need to post what you have in the profile area, the year, make model, transmission, engine size and then we know better on how to help you...

just to make sure I understand correctly (also, before anyone can help you much more than what I'm about to ask we need year make model etc) you replaced the passenger side and now when you turn left it grinds, you removed the tire, re-inspected and now the noise seems to be acceleration related? are you sure it's the correct CV Axel and is the noise for sure coming from the passenger side?

I noticed your post and re-asked what you did for emphesis.... The other thing I'm really interested in is the source of the noise and when it occurs, if the right side was replaced and now it makes noise when turning left I wonder if it's the right side actually making the noise...
