k sport/function & form comparison
Anybody running a k sport or f&f setup? How do they ride, what kind adjustibility is there, and what was your overall experience on them. I'm ready to redo my suspension as I'm on skunk 2 drop springs with kyb nitrogen struts. Way too stiff and nowhere near enough strut actuation so I get bouncy on big bumps. Lmk what your experience was, and also any other setups you may have run, I would be interested to hear about them as well. Thank you.

Skunk2 coilovers are notoriously bouncy. My friend got a set of Skunk2 coilover sleeves and shocks a few years back. They blew in less than a year, and were bouncy as hell.
I've ridden in both F&F and KSport equipped cars, and they feel very similar. They share the exact same design, but have slightly different spring rates. Function&Form Type 1s are height adjustable only. Type 2s are height and dampening adjustable. 12kg front spring rate, 8kg rear.
KSports are similar to the Type 2s, they are dampening adjustable as well. 12kg front, 7.2 kg rear. Both sell for around $850-900.
These two are decent coilovers for the money, but not my first choice. Because of the spring rate(and shock valving), you feel all of the bumps in the road. Its not bouncy, just very stiff. If they had better shocks, they would be much more comfortable.
Here is my choice of coilovers. Koni Yellow struts, with Ground Control coilover sleeves. Koni Yellows are dampening adjustable, and are made for lowered cars. Very high quality pruduct. And as long as you buy them new, Koni backs their product with a lifetime warranty.....something you rarely see in the aftermarket automotive industry. So if anything ever breaks, or the shocks start leaking, they replace it for free.
Ground Control coilover sleeves are also backed by a lifetime warranty. You also have the option of choosing which spring rates you want. On their website they have the (default) spring rates listed....but if you call them, talk to a representative, and tell them what exactly what kind of ride you are looking for, they will recommend what spring rates they feel will fit best. All for no extra cost.
I have multiple friends with this setup, and it is by far the best handling, and most comfortable I have ridden in. They have custom spring rates with 9-10kg range up front, and 8kg in the rear (Ground Control uses lb/in to measure their spring rate, the others use kg/cm. I converted for you). A Ground Control/Koni setup will cost around $900-950 depending on the cost you can find the Koni's for. The GCs are $380, and the Koni's range from $500-600.
In my opinion, this is the best setup for the money. Not taking into account the proven track record of both GC and Koni, the fact that both products have lifetime warranties speaks of the quality to me. For the extra $50, I would much rather have peace of mind. And, you can tailor the suspension to your liking.
Hope this helps.

You can, as long as they are brand new. If you ever need to use the warranty, they just want a purchase receipt.
Since I've posted in this thread, I did some searching, as was able to find the setup for $783 shipped.
Buy the Koni's from here:
Koni Sport Series Yellow Shocks SALE (8041-1185RSPORT & 8041-1185LSPORT & 8041-1168SP4) 90-97 Accord « Free Shipping
And the GCs from this seller on eBay.
4510 01 Ground Control coilover Springs 90 97 Honda Accord 4CYL | eBay
For the Ground Controls, when you order them, you just have to specify that you are going to be using Koni Yellows. Also, if you want custom spring rates, you have to specify as well.
I recently upgraded to this setup. I'm on 550 front and 450 rear spring rates (10k front, 8k rear). It is stiff, but still very comfortable.
