Default Lowering 95 Honda - Question(s)

Greetings all,

First, I would like to thank any and all whom reads this post as I appreciate all whom assist.

I have a 95 Honda Accord 2 Door that I just recently purchase a used set of Hero Sage Chrome 18 x 7.5 rims and would like to know the best and most affordable way to lower it enough (maybe max of 2 inches?) to lessen if not loose the wheel well gap and still keep a good solid smooth ride as possible.

I'm not new to custom cars as I have a custom to the hilt 94 Ford Explorer that I have had since 94 and still rocks peoples eyes, but I'm not looking to do that with the 95 Honda Accord EX 2 Door 2.2 Vtec (although I know I could, I've seen a lot of awesome pics on this site from great accords!), I'm just trying to make the car fit my style for a bit without a huge amount of money spent as I plan on a new car by years end (and the rims cost me 300 dollars).

I was looking at possibly Eibach Lowering springs but my concern would be, because of age of car (but in great shape for it's year), original shocks, struts etc, that I should enlist the advise of pro's like yourselves.

I appreciate any advice you would have for this, as well, your time in posting a response. Thanks, have a great day!

Car Specifics: 95 Accord 2 Door stock EX with 18 x 7.5 Hero Sage Chrome rims and 2.2Cyl VT.

The eibachs are what most people have(including myself) as they are pretty affordable and can be used with the stock parts. While they may wear slightly more on the stock struts, 17 years is a lot for stock shocks and struts anyways.

A more expensive route would be coil overs, function form seems to be the most popular brand of those, but they will cost you considerably more(think they are $1,300 or so). But they do offer full adjustability.

you can snag a set of Function Form type 1 coilovers for around $600 shipped to you. Now the price live2rice said is for the Function Form type 2’s. They are more aggressive street racing coilover set up.

The type 1’s are a good inexpensive set of FULL coilovers. They are pretty much bang for buck.

$150 per corner. Most good shocks that are meant to handle the abuse of being lowered on cost about that much. That's NOT including the lowering springs or coilover sleeves/springs.

Lowering on stock struts won’t have that much of a great ride for how much you want to drop nor will they last long.

Hi everyone. I have an 97 Accord 4dr 4cyl with tires 235/40 17x7, and I'd like to purchase a coilover kit with damper adjustments if possible for my car. I don't want to spend more than $850 in this, so here are the questions:
-Which brand should I buy? (blackworks, Ksport, meganracing, etc, etc)
-Since lowering a car may bring about negative camber issues which only can be "corrected"(in this type of vehicles) with new upper arms&balljoins, is it necessary to buy coilovers with pillowballs for camber adjustments for this car?
-Can I adjust camber isssue in this car using the pillowballs of the coilovers or I need to buy a camber kit?
- Do you think is it worthy to spend $ in coilovers with damper adjustments for daily drive?

Thanks a lot, I'd appreciate any answer and/or comment.

Please do not post the same question on more than one thread.

You have the other thread in "Suspension"
https://www.hondaaccordforum.com/for...ver-kits-47624
and it will be answered when / if someone knows the answer.

I can tell you that meganracing products are low end and get bad reviews.
