Default newbie needing advice

I would like to drop my accord approximately 2 inches. What do I need to do? Coilovers...plain lowering springs...etc? I am new to this and need some advice. Also, what brands seems to do a good job? I have looked at ebay and found some good prices. Anyways...need some help that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I used ebay springs...They do the job but dont ride all that well. I would get some drop springs will ride alot better than the coilovers. And BTW do you just want to lower your accord or do you want it to handle really well?

if you just want it lower and don't really care about ride or performance, just go with springs. Keep in mind your stock struts will wear out soon after.

If you want performance, you can go coil overs or lowering springs and performance struts.

I probably should have been more specific in the first post. I plan on purchasing 17 inch wheel/tire package and feel lowering the car would compliment this. I would like for it to ride well so it sounds like I may need to go with performance struts and lowering springs. Do I have that right? Thanks again for the replies guys.

How much can I drop before the shock system fails? I was thinking of droppin my Accord an inch to 1.5 inches.

EDIT- Yay coilovers! http://www.cardomain.com/item/NRGSCO200?vq_id=none Only $71! Bargain?

EIBACH springs all the way!!!!! They ride great.. I also do have to add that you will have to buy new struts. Mine are starting to wear out. The ride is as just like factory. I tried other cheaper springs and they were horrible!! I have a 96 17" rims and have lowered my car 2" and the sportline eibach springs are like no other. If you go cheap you will suffer in your ride quality. http://eibach.com/cgi-bin/htmlos.exe...96499500008911 Hope this helps. Breeze
