No need to rush into things.

How low are you trying to go? Are you trying to ride slammed? the fenders sitting on the tire(not tucked). i think since you in 90 degree weather pretty much everyday you would never have to raise you car. Like Finch13 said and same goes for me when it snows we still ride tucked. i deal with potholes and speedbumps everyday and at times my car does scrape but thats a giving if you drop you car. so if you have concerns maybe you should look into springs vs coilovers, less cost, still get a decent drop

Makes a lot of sense for sure. I was thinking about the S-Techs but a fellow CG put them on his ride and he was still able to put two fingers worth of wheel gap. It left me a bit confused. Honestly, it didn't look like the ride was lowered all that much.

How much wheel gap do you want?
I believe Ksport springs give a 2" drop, which is about a 1 finger gap. My H&R Race have about a 0 finger gap, almost tucking in the rear.
If you want to get the NRG ones, go for it, I'm sure you won't be disappointed. But after modding cars for the last 5 years, it wouldn't be my first choice. The lower you go, the more important it is to have an aftermarket shock and the faster you will wear out the stock shocks. This is where coilovers become appealing, because you get quality parts for theoretically $400 shocks and $200 springs with the Tein Basics. Like I said, if you go with those, it's like $750 for parts.

NRG Coilovers are a sleeve type coilover, meaning you will have to replace your shocks and if you don't mind your car bouncing after every roadbump
I have done the sleeve coilovers before with Skunk 2 and i would not recommend it. You don't get as low as a full sleeve coilover and probably will end up replaceing them.
i went with Tein Basic Damper and i've never been lower to the ground and my car rides like factory, don't feel any pumps

IMPO if you are on a budget start out w/ Megan Racing coilovers. They are $130 shipped to your house. Everyone compares them to skunk2 coilovers. I personally have them I really like them so far and Im running them on stock replacement kyb Gr's shocks. Get kyb AGX's Jegs.com not to long ago had a deal for all around for $300 plus shipping Im not sure if they still have that deal or not. An if you arnt satisfied w/ megan springs get Eibach springs to replace the megan springs. I mean a coilover SLEAVE is a coilover SLEAVE IMO. Yes there are some stronger then others but really dont have to worry about it unless your buying some crap ebay coilovers. Like GC use the same material that megan coilovers do. The only diff. the megan coilovers have two purges that lock 2geather vs. GC has one purge that has a pinch bolt. But that’s just what I would do.
