Rear disc brake conversion

Rear disc brake conversion
I own a 1996 accord and I want to convert its rear brake drums to discs. I don't know which years rear brake discs models will fit mine. Any suggestions?? I have seen a couple of accords in the yard but not sure they'll fit.

I'm almost 100% sure you can use any accord from 90-97 rear disc brakes. I have 94 ex disk brakes on my 93 lx. Most all the suspension parts are all the same. Like struts and springs. You can use any coilover set up on 90-97 accords. SO I would imagine since all the stuff lines up right then you can use any of the rear disc set up from thos years. Here is a write up also on how to do it.

yeah...if you don't know what your doing it will take you and a friend few hrs to do. If you know what your doing you can do it by yourself fairly fast. Make sure to get a few extra jack stands if your doing it by yourself.

also I forgot to mention. If your car is not equipped with a sway bar you will need to swap for a cross member in your gen that will accept the sway bar brackets.
There MIGHT be another way...I'm working on it now as I finally put my rear disc swap 100% together to day. An that’s how I found out about this prob. I have no intentions of swapping for a ex/se cross member so I think I might slide the mounting brackets to the middle of the cross member so I can just drill a hope and smash a bolt and nut in there and call it a day. I let you know what I end up doing.

btw that’s what I ended up doing was drilling two holes and slamming a (what looks like) a 1/4in socked head heavy duty screws. They seem like they will work. Might even JB weld the screws for added safety
