Default smaller rotors on wagon?

I went to auto zone to get new pads and rotors for my 1991 ex wagon. they didn't have any selection of pads available for the wagon, so i brought an old pad in and pads for a 1992 ended up being the same. I purchased the smaller 260mm baer rotors because the 280 ones weren't available.

So my question is, how will my ex calipers work with lx/dx sized rotors? will i need different calipers? or different knuckles entirely?

Thanks ahead of time for any help!

I'd guess you have to change everything. The rotor diameter is smaller, so part of the pads will overlap into empty space outside of the rotor. Not good. Probably easier to return the rotors & find the proper ones somewhere else.

Thanks for the response, but I found some of them from summit that are the right size. I'll return them tomorrow and see about buying th e bigger ones from them. They're $40 more though!

Check other places too. Advance Auto Parts, PepBoys, Jegs, whatever chain stores live in your part of the country.

Knowing that the wagon takes bigger rotors, make sure you ask them to look up the sedan & wagon to verify that they show a different part.
