Steering wheel shakes when braking.

Usually a "warped" rotor is really just uneven friction properties around the surface. It's usually caused by braking hard & coming to a stop, then holding the brakes clamped hard on a very hot rotor. Unfortunately you can't avoid doing that in some traffic.
Usually can be fixed by resurfacing the rotors, occasionally you can fix it by doing a "bedding-in" procedure. Like this...
Find someplace you can do this without being stupid in traffic.
Brake hard from 40 to 10. DO NOT COMPLETELY STOP.
Drive a couple minutes to cool them off.
Repeat 4 or 5 times.
Brake REAL REAL HARD from 50 or 60 to 10. DO NOT COMPLETELY STOP.
Drive around 8 or 10 minutes to cool them off.
Repeat about 8 times.
You should do this procedure whenever you put on new or resurfaced rotors or pads. After you do this, they seem to tolerate clamping on a hot brake better.
