Default TL Strut Bar for 6th Gen Review

I paid about $55 fora new TL (2000) strut bar and it fit easily on my Accord.Steering responds quicker now, though itundersteers just a bit more. Install time was about 30 min. Simple, cheap, bolt-on upgrade (my favorite kind).

I assume you are referring to the rear TL sway bar (per your sig)? It is 20mm and I did use new bushings and brackets.

yah the rear... I was thinking of the CL-S one, obviously. either way im not sure that 1mm will make a difference in terms of too much understeer with my current set-up. (sig.) plus i heard the 6th gen sways fit the 7th gen....but im not positive on that maybe it was something else i heard.....anyway I like the price of that one compared to the CL-S rear sway

The only fit problem I had was the little hook welded to the body for the muffler hanger rubbed the bar and clunked a bit. I greased it and now it is quiet. If it acts up again, I will try to bend the hook a bit so it will clear. I think it is only an issue because the TL bar is thicker (the 14mm stock bar didn't rub).

You have a 19mm bar now?

I just ordered my sway bar and bushings/bushing holders. $45, and change. Thanks for the link.

All I can hope for now, is that the links come of cleanly and can be re-used.

Yeah, mine were a PITA to remove but I got them off and reused them. I live in TX now but bought the car new when I lived in NJ so the 5 or 6 years of road salt had fused them on pretty good. I would soak them good with WD-40 or liquid wrench. It is hard to get much leverage with an allen wrench at first, so I cheated a bit with some channel locks to get them started. Good luck.
