You can fit a 20, as in it is possible, but you'll have very little tire to protect the rim from potholes and such plus it will ride VERY VERY stiff...I don't believe it's even remotely possible to fit a 21 without lifting the car....

So 20, absoloute max but not recommended, 17-19 is preferable, most common and a very nice look is 17 or 18...

Lol don't put anything past 18...heed my warning...your performance will drop dramatically, you gas consumption will increase, your HANDLING will feel like complete S***...when driving at anything more then 40 MPH and pressing the brake you will feel the car pulling you in two different directions it'll feel as if the car is zig zagging.i personally don't believe that the 6th generation was made with the intentions that 20" rims would be placed...i have 18" rims with 235/40 18 and EVERYONE loves the look, even my friends on 22" loves my car.and if you lower it,it makes the car look very aggresive and makes it look like its packing power, especially if you have a V6 version. Nothing intimidates competition more then a 6th generation, lowered, with dual catback exhuast..it makes them curious

So, does the said 18" show any issues like the one you mentioned about braking? I'm planning on getting a 225/ 40 18. Also, are spacers needed?
