19 inch rims
Hey guys, I'm new to the site and i'm looking for some help. I'm about to buy rims for my 2009 honda accord coupe ex-l 4 cyl. I'm looking at 19s but not sure if chrome is a good idea. I like chrome, i want it to stand out, but I don't want to look stupid either.
I'm looking at Avarus AV4 in chrome and stainless. Here are pics of the two:
Personally I like chrome more but I don't want too much flash. I'm trying to give off the luxury coupe look and I think chrome does that more than the other version of the AV4. Which do you think I should get? My coupe is black, I don't have the chrome door handles, but I'm thinking of adding that, tinting the windows and adding HID lights.
Thanks guys.

Also, anyone know the offset of stock 17s on the accord coupe 2009? The rims are 19X8.5 +45mm offset. Does that fit? I checked a website about tire size difference and it says if the stock offset is +55, then +45 on tires 245/40-19 may not fit under fender, is that true? I know you Ang suggested 225/40-19 and i'll consider for sure, just a little concerned in regards to potholes.

I was told the first number (225) was the width and the aspect ratio was the second number. So if you have 225-70, the sidewall would be larger than stock(225-50-17), increasing your tires diameter. Is this wrong or right? That's why im asking if 245-40 has clearance over 225-40.

Sorry... I gave bad info...
Here's a page that explains all the numbers pretty straight-forwardly.

I suppose this is a better explanation of what I'm looking for:
Offset: +45mm
Backspacing: 6.53"
Bolt Pattern: 5-114
Rec. Tire Size: 245/40-19
Weight: 30.2lbs.
I'm planning to buy off tirerack and when I checked a site for tire sizes(here). I got a warning under 'fender' saying:
Stock:225/50-17 (I was told +55) 17X7.5
Aftermarket: 245/40-19 +45 19X8.5
When i reduced wheel width or increased offset the 'problem' went away so i assumed they played a role. I'm no expert in wheel fitments whatsoever, that's why i'm asking you guys for help lol.
What do you think? 245/40-19 +45 fit properly?(this is very important, if it's a tiny-pothole-and-you're-done...that isn't properly to me.)
I live in montreal, we have quite a few potholes...I'm looking to make this a useable car while having some style, so if it's a close call, I won't bother with 19s.

Package will stick out 20 mm (0.8'') farther. Make sure that you have enough room under the fender. If not, consider narrower tires or higher offset.
