Default 2003 Accord lug nuts with 2008 TSX rims

Hi, I have a 2003 Honda Accord LX with 15 inch steel wheels. I recently bought a set of 4 2008 OEM Acura TSX rims. What I want to know is will the stock lug nuts from my Accord work with the TSX rims or do I need to get aftermarket lug nuts to fit? Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

Both cars take the same kind Lug nut as far as the size goes..12mmx1.5 nut
The difference would be how the lug nut seats into the hole, you'll have to match that up for your self...

Get One from azone and try it...If I find more info , I will post it for you!

Thanks! I also saw from researching on ebay that both the Accord and TSX lug nuts are acorn shaped. I wonder, as you said, if that will seat properly.

I'm pretty sure both have spherical seats. The difference is that your original lugnuts have a little plastic clip retainer around them to hold the plastic wheel cover. You probably have to remove that plastic clip so it fits down into the hole in your TSX wheels. Then you're left with lug nuts having a groove that's un-necessary (but should work OK).

Lugs will work.

Side note: Are you sure the wheels fit? I know Acura seems to be moving away from the 5x114.3mm lug patterns in favor of the 5x120mm pattern. At least it true on the latest generation of TL and MDX... just a thought.

Thanks guys for the input!

Hi Finch, yeah the wheels are 5x114.3 with a 55 mm offset. I checked the OEM fitment for an 2003 Accord and it is 5x114.3 and between 40 mm and 55 mm, so I should be okay.

If any of you are in the North Jersey area and would like to do the same thing that I'm doing and put TSX rims on your ride, a guy on a Craigslist website is selling 4 TSX OEM rim in good condition for $150 obo. That's a steal! Check online and you'll know. FYI.

Got the TSX wheels put on my 2003 Accord today. They were a direct fit. Looks like it could have come from the factory that way. Honda centercaps replaced the Acura ones. I will try to get some pics up soon.

Sorry for the long delay guys. I dont have digital camera if you can believe it (its true, I know, sad) and the cell phone pics dont do this car justice. I mean I am in love with how these wheels look. Its been over two months and it still puts a smile on my face.

I actually had thought about putting a big brake kit on, but the offset of the TSX wheel is +55 mm and I would need about 15 mm of spacers to make it work. That did not appeal to me, so I went with Powerslot slotted rotors and Hawk HPS pads. The pads I dont really care for cause they are about the same as my OEM pads. Or at least, thats what I've noticed.

I'm gonna hit my friend John up to bring his camera up the next time I see him and get some pics of this car for you guys. I guess I got distracted with some of the past ladies in my life during the summer. I guess I was sort of distracted. Money runs out quick when you're wining and dining! LOL.

Regards,

Greg
