Default Brakes....

I plan on getting some slotted Rotoras, anyone know of a place to get a good deal?

Also, Finch reccommend Hawk HPS pads, has anyone had experience with EBC pads, i.e Green Stuff/Red Stuff pads.

And, can you guys tell if I have akibono or nissin calipers? I have been looking at rotors but none of them say if they are for the Akibono or Nissin style capliers. So would rotors such as the slotted rotoras matter?

Idk if you can tell but heres some shots of the front rotors.

Found slotted rotoras for $68 a piece and slotted powerslot for $63 a piece. Any recommendation as to which I should go for? Would like to order these today. They also dont specify if for akebono or nissin.

Also, Hawk HPS for $68 or Hawk ceramics for $75?

The rotors might not be any different for the different caliper suppliers.

I put Hawk HPS pads on my Saab & so far I like them.

I had Power Slot rotors and loved them. I first ran them with EBC Greenstuff, and switched to EBC Redstuff prior to going to the track. Let's just say I will never buy EBC brake pads again. I had Hawk and was very happy with them. Where did you find power slot rotors for $68? Please share, I'm in the middle of upgrading brakes as well!

Agree, powerslot and hawk pads. I havent heard anything good about EBC. Don't get the ceramics, they'll heat up the rotor more than you could ever want. No sense it warping a $60 rotor.

Got everything, went to checkout, and it quoted me $132.82 for SHIPPING!!!!!

Called them up and the website is obviously having a problem.

TOTAL including shipping came out to $248 even.

Yeah, just ordered mine as well. I don't think they make just plain Power Slot rotors for my year. I was going to do with frozen, but they were around $108 each. I went with EBC Ultimax Slotted Rotors for all 4 corners, and Hawk HPS pads. Pads were $126 for both front and rear and rotors were a grand total of $256 for all 4. Not too bad, the rotors are painted black therefore should not corrode, which I hate, that why I almost went with frozen...but way too many $$. I decided to skip on the Eibach Pro Kit, probably will get that next year.

Autoanything.com had free shipping + 10% off through yesterday, the other place I ordered the pads from charged about $18 for shipping...not bad. The pads there were about $40 cheaper than autoanything.com plus the had both front and rear. I will probably run the set with Blue Line Super Racing Brake Fluid as I have a leftover bottle from when I owned my BMW.

Drums in the rear? I had drums on my Corolla, after a couple of track events I had trashed the brakes and needed new ones.
