So i bought an 08 accord lx with the ugly hubs. I was too broke for the higher end models but wanted an accord so bad.

I love it so far, but need rims bad. I'm a total car idiot and have no idea what rims will fit this car and how to go about figuring out which rims i can use.

Can anyone tell me what i'm looking for and maybe recommend a few rims that would fit this car without having to do major work on it.

Here are the sizes and bolt patterns that fit your Accord...

The bolt pattern is 5 lugs on 115 mm and the wheels sizes are 16 x 6.5 or 17 x 7.5 or 18 x 8

So i checked that website, entered the specs for my car, and got a whole slew of different wheels. Now when i click on them...they show

Bolt pattern: 5-114

Is that ok?

also, alot of them show 18 x 7.5...or 18 x 8.5. Would these not work? Do i need 18 x 8 exactly?

And what does the offset and backspacing mean? Is that mainly for tire sizing?

Oogie is correct with 114mm though .... or 4.5"

 

wow so that site is cool, but i think it just blew my mind and made me even more confused. Too much terminology for buying rims. :P

So lemme just ask this and i'll shut up.

So the 114mm thing is ok it seems.

Is 18x8.5 ok as well? or do i specifically need the 18x8?

The 8.5 is the width of the rim .... the offset determines if it will rub or not .... width does a little, but I wouldn't expect 8.5 to be an issue if the offset is right. There are charts that tell you what the recommended tire widths are for different rim widths.


BTW - it is actually 114.3mm bolt pattern, which is exactly 4.5".

 

dang, i really like that rim...a nd it would look tight on my black 04 sedan... what kind is it?
