BS, I think. For me, Michelin are really good tires at even higher prices. IOW, really good but overpriced.

The reason for the "dry rot" is that the treadlife is outstanding for the most part and after a while any and all tires will start that cracking. Michelins are the best tire out there bar none.

My 04 is running Michelin Primacy while my 03 is running Bridgestone G019 all the way around on stock alloy rims. The Bridgestones are an aggressive tire but the handling is absolutely superb and I would recommend them.

I have a Toyota Camry running Pirelli P6 that are ok, not as good of a ride as the Bridgestones but also a different car.

I have Hankook Optimo H727 on a Toyota Corolla because they were reviewed very highly. They may have great treadlife expectancy but they are not a very good handling tire. I would not buy another set.

I would go to Tire Rack (sponsor of this forum!) and read the reviews, tests and surveys on specific tires that fit your Accord. (no Toyos or Falkens there tho) I have had my Primacy MXV4s a little over a year-they have been great so far-but like JimBlake said, not cheap! In my case I got V-rated ones so they were very pricey!

I did a price comparison on tires from Tire Rack and Discount Tire here in Texas. Tire Rack was $200 cheaper than Discount even after the shipping/mounting/balancing, etc.

I printed off the price info with install and shipping and took it to Discount. They price matched it right there and I in turn bought the tires from Discount. Sorry Tire Rack....Discount was far more convenient.
