painting alloy rims

Google up a company by the name of Eastwood..they sell complete do-it-yourself wheel finishing kits..

go to autozone, buy Duplicolor wheel coating in black or whatever color. Buy some 300-400 grit sandpaper. Go to walmart and get some 3X5 index cards.

take wheel off car
clean wheel with a good degreaser
sand entire rim with sandpaper(if you have deeper scratches, you might need a smaller grit paper to use first then finish up with the 400 grit)
wash rim again and let dry
lay rim flat and insert index cards between rim lip(longways up, overlapabout half an inch all the way around)
you may use a primer if you want to, I never did.
shake rattle car and do a light coat at first over the entire rim, doesnt even have to cover it completely. Spray approx. 4-6 inches from the rim)
let dry 5 mins or so between coats.
once it's completely covered, let dry 30 mins before putting it basck on the car.
