I believe it will stay on the entire time, but I do not know that for sure. You could call your service department at the dealer where you got your car.

Probably a good idea if you buy wheels to have the sensors transferred to the new wheels. Not cheap, but the TPMS is picky.

When I put my wheels on two weeks ago Discount Tire charged me $20.00 for a tmps rebuilding kit , that was for all 4 wheels. not bad considering the price of chrome wheels.

I just got back from the shop and found out that they need to get the codes of the sensors off the tires to input them into the system. I have an 08 accord coupe EX which came with 17's, I removed them and put on factory 18's from the V6 version and now I have that TPMS light that won't go away. My function to disengage the VSA is no longer available as well. I'll keep you posted on the progress.

I'm wondering if I should just get the sensors from my factory tires and put them in these ones...but It'll probably cost the same in labour (which they quoted me at 110). The dealer wanted to run a diagnostic for of $70 before they say anything. Any suggestions?

Certain shops are now getting certified to transfer/work on tires that have those sensors, find a shop that holds the certification and usually they will guarantee their work.

Hey SN .... no chance that resetting the computer would work? I know that my tC has a reset button and if you reset it with no signal, there's no light. Also, the whole system seems kinda stupid to me ... it would make sense if it let you know of 4-5 lbs missing, but "critically low"??? Wouldn't the steering wheel tell you first?
