I have a set of Blizzacks on my car and now that summer is coming I would like to buy new wheels and tires for my car. I went to the Honda dealer and was told that 17" wheels for the 2007 accord have a 6 bolt pattern and my coupe has 5 bolt pattern. I was also told that there is an 18" wheel that's an option and it has a 5 bolt pattern. I really want forged wheels and would like to stick with Honda wheels. Does anyone have experience upgrading there 16 inch 5 bolt pattern Accord wheels? If so, what would you recommend?

Once I figure out how to upgrade my wheels I want to buy low profile high performance tires. What should I consider before purchasing tires to go with the upgraded wheels.

I have never done anything like this before and as a 64 year old guy with some auto mechanical apptitude this is all new to me.

I took my 07 accord to discount tire, they had the rims and tires of my choice in stock, they even have a rim called Vtec. I dont think that its related to Honda, but still its cool.

At discount tire you pick the rim and they will tell you what tires are in stock that fit that rim, they do all of the size and bolt pattern work for you. All you do is pick out what you want and let them do all of the work.
