It seems like it could be done.

i would imagine there would have to be alot of some kind of adhesive to be involved though. Maybe some sanding of the rim as well before applying.

there's always the question if it will stay on once the first rain storm or car wash comes around too.

Iv never head of doing this...but that doesn’t mean it can't be done. My question is why would you want to do this? I don't see it staying on long with weather like stated in the last post. I can see doing it if it's a show car and really never sees the streets.

Another question is, if you just want to change the color of the rims, why not just paint them. Spray can paint jobs don't look bad on rims.

When driving & using the brakes, your rims get hotter than you probably believe. I would worry about the adhesive getting soft & the stuff coming off.

Also seems like the vinyl wouldn't last long because of the really hot little pieces of brake pad. The larger particles that you'd otherwise call brake-dust, sometimes melt themselves into the wheel paint. That's gotta be tough on vinyl.

Default I have a winter protection idea...

What if you use plasti-dip?
It goes on easy
stays on over time and under pressure,

and best of all, it comes right off once winter is over!

I haven't tried this yet, but I'm thinking of getting one of these 3 different rims with these tires, and I think it should work out great.

What do you guys think, and which rim should I pic lol

(btw my car's an 03 ex silver; I'm also thinking of getting these wheel locks for added protection, they're from japan and use a special magnet, heard they're better than gorilla locks!)

I'm even considering doing this all myself with this and this, just to save money in the longrun, you think it's worth it?
