Default What Size Tire for 93 Honda Accord?

Well, I have stock rims on the Hondawith 195/60R15.It's time to replace the rear tires. So, I was wondering what is a good size for good gas mileage...

Unless you are changing the rim size, the stock 195/60 r15 is your best choice. Also a tire with a mild tread pattern as well.

Those are a good set for normal driving. While I still had my original rims I used these:

I had a great driving experience with the,. They were quiet and gave me good grip. PLus you can't beat 80,000 mile warranty, and these things seemed to last forever with a 720 rating. After 4 years with them the tread depth was still thick enough for them had only gone down 2/32.

I'd also say do all four of your tires. Different tires wear at different rates, so you could be fine now but a bit down the road you may start to get traction issues as the different types grip in different ways. And those will only be compunded if they are rotated and you get different types in the front, that could lead to steering complications.

[sm=massbounce.gif]Hello there Member RoKnAzn...

Best tire for that ride that will give you the most miles per gallon is of course the Original equipment size tire...that's why they have those sizes already on the cars....HONEST [sm=exactly.gif]

Correct on the bolt pattern. 15 inch for stock size rims. CB7 Accords can go up to 17s before it starts to look wierd.

I went for 7.5 width vs. the stock 5. I'm not sure what styles they have that would look good. When I went searching for wheels I had a particular style in mind and didn't pay attention to manufacturers. I've seen width's up to 8.5 available , but I'm not sure what sort of clearance concerns that may pose. Mine do not rub or bind in anyway even with the car lowered 2.5.
