Will 17" wheels from 2007 Civic SI fit 2015 Accord?
I have just purchased a 2015 Honda Accord Sport. I want to run 17" wheels for winter tires. I have a chance to purchase some original alloys off a 2007 Civic SI and think they will look a lot better than a set of steel wheels. They are the same bolt pattern and offset as the Accord but do I need to be concerned about a potential difference in calipers, etc.
Bottom line - Will the Civic SI wheels work on my 2015 Accord?
Thanks,
Phil

Probably narrower, but that's kinda what you want for snow tires.
The wheels might have embossed information on the inside, like
"maximum static wheel load xxxx kg". Just because the Civic is so much lighter than the Accord.
If the rated load scares you off, maybe look for stock alloy wheels from Accord in 16 or 17 size. 16" probably gets you more choices of winter tires??

Civic wheels on Accord.
Thanks Jim, unfortunately the wheels have no indication for weight shown. They are 7" wide so perfect for my 215/55/R17 Michelin's. But you do have me thinking the weight limit may be an issue. Something I never considered.
Thanks,
Phil

The difference in weight between an Accord Sport and a Civic Si is at most 300 or so pounds.
The wheels would not be made with that little tolerance on them.
It would be a different story if you were looking to put Civic Si wheels on an Odyssey.
If they have same bolt pattern and offset and clear the brakes you should be fine.
And I'm pretty sure they'll clear the brakes, it's not like the Accord Sport has 6 caliper Brembo brakes meant to stop a 4000 lbs sport sedan on a race track.
Chances are the Accord's brakes are a mere 1/2 inch bigger in diameter and probably little to no difference in width.

Civic Si wheels on a 2015 Accord Sport.
Thanks for all the responses. I had looked at the weight difference between the 2 vehicles earlier and came to the same conclusion that the 300 lbs was irrelevant and so purchased the Si rims. I had my dealer install my tires on the rims and verify the rims would fit on my new Honda without issue. They confirmed they fit fine. Now all I need to do is install them on the new car once the snow arrives.
Love the new Accord Sport.
Thanks,
Phil

Update - 2007 Civic Si rims don't fit 2015 Accord Sport
After purchasing the rims and having the Dealer verify that the rims would fit my new Accord Sport. I had the Dealer mount my Michelin's on the Civic rims.
The snow arrived this weekend and I decided it was time to change to the snow tires. Unfortunately, I found the front rims don't have enough offset to clear the brake housing on the 2015 Accord Sport. The inside of the wheels are touching the brake housing.
Now back to the Dealer to question how they could verify they would fit before mounting the tires and yet they don't.
Note: I had the Dealer verify the fit before I took possession of the car so I couldn't check it myself.
Live and learn.
Thanks,
Phil
