Your opinion on deal
Hi guys
I recently became a proud owner of a '99 Accord LX 2.3L with 120K miles on it. Part of the deal involved that I would have to change all 4 tires on the car at the earliest. Unfortunately, I had to delay the purchase a little as I was trying to save up for it.
Now, I am ready to make the purchase. I looked up some of the other posts on the forum here and using tirerack.com, I finalized on the Goodyear Eagle GT, which the website sells for $70 a pop. The Discount Tire in my town (College Station, TX) sells the same for $85. I was able to get them to match the tirerack price - and the total has come to about $375. This includes a disposal feel of $2.50, free lifetime repairs and installation charges of $16 (all rates per tire). I was just wondering if you guys thought this was a worthwhile deal. I am a grad student and would not be able to deal with too many financial hassles with respect to the car. I look at this as a worthwhile long term investment. As you can see, this is the first time I'm making such a purchase.
Any inputs/feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks.

go for it the price sound about right. I work at Sears Auto Center and we sell those and I hav them on my 2010 Elantra. Very high end Goodyear tires, good treadwear, good mileage (usually warrantied for 80k miles if u keep up w/ rotations & alignments), nice pattern and great all-season traction.
