2003 accord, dealer said, no oil in crankshaft, ruined engine
Hi out there! I am very frustrated today. I have a 2003 accord, 4 dr 3.1 vtech 6 cyl engine. 124,000 k. Changed timiing belt at 89,800k. I have had every service done, changed oil every 3000-3500. Miles. Last oil and filter change Jan12, 2012. I heard a small pop at the Stop light, all dash lights came on and the car killed. Had it towed. 1. Honda said there was no oil in top crank shaft but we saw clean oil all over. 2. Burt Bro mechanic said was timing belt. Went and played with that, tried to start car. We were upset towed it to Honda Dealer in Bountiful. We have the timing belt with about 6" shred marks. Honda Dealer said the engine is shot. They will get us a 40000k engine for $4200.00. What is your take? Also, do timing belts go out at 35,000k. I feel like I am being jerked with. Who is trying to cover up? Any advice or comments, thank you, lkn

What?
Is the ENTER key on your keyboard missing?
You really lost me at Burt Bro. Is your brother's name Burt or is that the name of a Mechanic shop?
First you said Honda said it had no oil
Then you Brother Burt said it was timing belt
then you said you then towed it to the Honda dealer.
Did the Honda dealer come out to Burt Bro to tell you there was no oil in it?
Where is this clean oil all over? If it is all over the outside of the motor then it is most likely not in the motor then, right?
I feel like I am being jerked with too so I guess I know how you feel.
If you can clear up what you are saying I am sure we can offer some better insight.
Oh and also how did you go and play with the timing belt?
